O.K., got a Hardcore Superstar question...

For the longest time I had always heard HS compared to the Backyard Babies. Can somebody explain why? Is it because they both wear black and are from Sweden?

Also, I know that some people (Andreas and others) question their image and such. Why? Is it because they are too "good looking" or are there stories of them NOT being what they claim to being?

I never understood that comparison at all.
BB are a little more "rough around the edges" and punk sounding (Making Enemies... somehow all the dirt and filth was lost)
HCSS are more of a straight-up rock band. More obvious early 70's rock influences.

Why?
I dunno, laziness and buzz-words I guess.
As if all bands that come out of Sweden are gonna sound exactly alike?! That's pretty dumb.

I remember reading that Jocke has never touched a drug in his life and distances himself from the groupie scene. Lots of references to that in the song "Still I'm Glad" I think.
Not indulging in those doesn't make him any less of a rock n roller. If you get into that purely because it's allegedly what "you're supposed to do", that's a bit sad.

<font size="3" face="Arial">Good Lord, I should hope not doing drugs dpoesn't mean you sren't a "Rock And Roller", as I may flirt with alcohol on the strange occasion, but I have smoked pot a total of four times in my entire life!!! I have also never touched anything harder than that.

I like beer, but I don't like to get drink all that much. But that is the extent of my living life on the edge with substance. Though people who knew me back in the day will tell you that if I did do anything, I would be dead by now. I did enough dumb-ass things stone cold sober.

In my cd collection, I have BB and the Hellacopters in the glam-punk section while Hardcore Superstar is in the glam metal area. I don't find any punk in their music and find it unfortunate and inaccurate that they've been classified as such.

I don't understand that comparison, but I must say that nowdays if I compare the last BACKYARD BABIES album with the new HARDCORE SUPERSTAR one, the last ones are much better and I must say I have been a BB fan since the beginning.
And once again I say, what the hell people hates so much to HARDCORE SUPERSTAR? yes, they have everything, perhaps people or bands are jealous???
